Foster and support a local culture of hand washing and raise awareness about the benefits of hand washing with soap which will help to achieve which will help to achieve UN SDG # 3 Promote Good Health & Wellbeing at grass root level.

Our Impact:

Till date, KHASS has empowered 7097 school children from 38 schools to save lives and contribute to healthy, prosperous communities through choosing handwashing with soap.

• Posters depicting proper hand washing techniques have been placed in all bathrooms.
• Formation of a student-managed “WASH” Parliament/Club established to maintain standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the school, and to raise awareness amongst the community on the importance of hand washing.
• One of the key elements of Khwahish Sewa Society’s behavior-change approach is the ‘Glow-germ’ demonstration. This counters the common misconception that ‘visibly clean’ is ‘hygienically clean.
• Star Approach adopted to encourage schools to promote hygiene.
